If your website is not running then there may be one of these below given reasons:
- Your domain is not pointing to correct nameservers : Your domain should point to the correct nameservers provided by your hosting service provider. Like if you have taken our FREE hosting plan then your domain should point to our these nameservers :
Nameserver 1: Free3.HostGuy.comNameserver 2: Free4.HostGuy.com
If you have taken paid hosting plan from us, then kindly check nameservers details given in your "Hosting Account Information" mail under your "My Emails" section in your client area. - Domain nameserver propagation time : If you have already changed your nameservers then you have to wait for the propagation time which depends on your ISP (Internet Service Provider), it can take 4-48hrs. You can also check whether it has been propogated or not through: https://www.whatsmydns.net/#NS
- Domain is Expired : Kindly check whether your domain is expired or not. If it is expired than renew it.
- IP blocked on Server Firewall : Kindly check whether your IP is blocked or not Server Firewall due to too many login failures attempts of cPanel, Email, FTP or any other. You can check and unblock your IP through : https://hosting.india.to/clients/index.php?m=unblockip
You will get reason of IP block on Server Firewall when you unblock your IP. - Domain suspended due to ownership not verified : Kindly check whether your domain is suspended directly by domain registry due to domain ownership not verified. You can check it through by checking domains nameservers in WHOIS details. Domain registry puts their own nameservers if your domain is not verified. To activate your account you have approve the domain verification email directly sent by domain registry on your domain whois email address.
- Domain WWW records are pointing to other server : Kindly check If your domain's A records and WWW records are pointing to other server and that server is not responding back.
- Domain name used for nameservers is expired : Kindly check whether the domain name used by you for nameserver is expired or not. As if it is expired than it will not work resulting domain also not work.
- .htaccess is making trouble : Sometimes due to bad/ill configuration in .htaccess file website will not work resulting in blank page or error 500. You can just rename your .htaccess file and try again.
If website works then you should work on your .htaccess file. - Server IP is blocked on your ISP : Kindly check whether Server IP is blocked on your ISP (Internet Service Provider) or not.
- IIS Application pool stopped : If you are on Windows server you should check whether your IIS application is stopped due to application crashes. You can restart your IIS application pool through your Plesk account.
