What is a SPAM?

Spam is unsolicited bulk or commercial e-mail. Spam usually results from a company or entity culling or purchasing a list of e-mail addresses to which they then send their advertising messages. To the recipient, Spam is the Internet's equivalent to junk mail. In general, it's not good Internet etiquette (netiquette) to send Spam.
